PSYTOX

Psytox (aka Yrsæn, Norman Bates, Svemirski, PSTX) has been dj’ing and producing since 1989.

Emerging from the static between machine and memory, Psytox channels the colder edge of techno, bass and broken rhythm. Mini-malistic, physical and deeply textured, each track is built like architecture — precise yet human. No image. No identity. Only signal and sound. Psytox remains deliberately untraceable, transmitting from an undisclosed location, focusing purely on frequency and form..

Together with Edward Molton he founded his own label Coincidence, on which they released Techno from artists like Jeroen Search,Truncate, Rebekah, Developer, Marcel Fengler, Michael Klein, Cleric, DJ Rush, Lag, Delta Funktionen, Charlotte de Witte, Conforce, Mary
Velo, Noneoftheabove and many more. His releases on imprints like Coincidence, Elektrax, Berlina für Techno, Dolma Records, Rhythm Converted, Be As One and Artform have often made it to the top charts and playlists of A-list Djs.

He also promoted his own nights at Kompass Klub, Café d’Anvers (now Traum), Fuse and Tomorrowland’s infamous “Rave Cave”and “The Cage”. He also appeared on podcasts like Vollenbak (Bxl) and Gimic Radio with Jekkamai. Some podcast mixes include 29Grooves, Technowereld and Anémone Radio.

Known to play extensive sets (up to 15 hours straight) at established events such as Tomorrowland, Kozzmozz, Courtoisy, Thé Dansant, Wanted Berlin, Nature One, Extrema Outdoor, Lost Theory Festival,… and venues such as Now&Wow (Rotterdam),
C12 (Brussels), Sisyphos (Berlin), Kompass Klub (Gent), Tresor (Berlin), OtherSide (Liege, BE), Ground (Luxemburg), Club Vaag (Antwerp), Zodiak (Brussels), Cafe d’Anvers (now Traum), Fuse, Waagenbau (Hamburg), Chalet (Berlin), Decadance, Charlatan and Silo to name just a few.
